The DS360 app

The DS360 app: install it and capture your first unit

The app is how your team sends us a unit. Scan the VIN, follow the photo steps, and submit. Our claims team takes it from there.

Install and sign in

01

Get the app

The Dealer Suite 360 app is launching soon on the App Store (iPhone) and Google Play (Android). Until then, the same scan and capture pages work in your phone’s browser: sign in to the portal at app.dealersuite360.com.

02

Get access from your dealer owner

Each person signs in with their own Dealer Suite 360 account. The dealer owner turns on Mobile app access for each staff member on the Staff page. A phone number is required to use the app.

03

Use the sign-in you set up when you accepted your invitation. The app is in English and French.

Capture your first unit

One capture is one inspection of one unit, anchored to its VIN.

01

Tap Scan Unit

Point the camera at the VIN barcode or the VIN tag. The app opens the unit, or offers to add it to your inventory.

02

Start an inspection

Choose the type: DAF for a new arrival from the manufacturer, PDI before delivery, Warranty for a customer issue, Extended warranty, Insurance for collision, weather or theft damage, or Reception for a unit received on the lot. The app marks the suggested type.

03

Follow the photo steps

The app asks for the VIN tag, then the exterior, the interior and the issues. Warranty-type inspections go straight from the VIN tag to the issues.

04

Photograph each issue

Tap New issue for each problem. Take a close-up and a wider shot. Add a short note if it helps; notes are optional.

05

Submit to claims team

When the required photos are in, tap Submit to claims team. The claim opens for our team, and you can follow it in the portal.

Good to know

Camera only

Photos are taken with the camera inside the capture. The app does not upload pictures from your phone’s library.

Works without signal

With no connection, the inspection is saved on the phone. Keep taking photos. Everything is sent in order when the connection returns.

The VIN comes first

A unit needs a valid 17-character VIN before you can take photos. If the tag can’t be read, check it against the unit.

A unit registered elsewhere

If the VIN belongs to another dealership, the app offers Request transfer. Our team moves it to your dealership.

Tips for photos that get claims paid

Clear photos are the fastest way to an approved claim. We may ask you to retake one through a support request.

  • Shoot in good light. Turn on the unit’s lights or use the flash in dark areas.
  • Hold steady and let the camera focus before you tap.
  • One close-up of the problem and one wider shot that shows where it is on the unit.
  • Make the whole VIN plate sharp and readable.
  • Start a new issue for each separate problem, even if two are close together.

Common questions

Do we have to write up the claim in the app?

No. Your team captures the unit. DS360 analyzes the photos, writes the claim and files it.

Does the app cost extra?

No. The app comes with your Dealer Suite 360 plan. Nothing is sold inside the app.

Can owners and managers use it too?

Yes. Anyone with mobile access can capture units. Dashboards, billing and reports stay in the web portal.

What happens after we submit?

The claim reaches our team. You see its status in the portal under Claims, and we contact you through a support request if we need anything.

Next step

Find out what you’re leaving on the table.

A free claims audit shows you exactly how much warranty money is recoverable — with no obligation and nothing to install.
